    Hi,

    It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you are only interested in the frequency bands below 3GHz then maybe its not worth the extra money. But with the KC901V you are not just paying about third more for around double the frequency range.

    I originally tested a KC901S and was quite impressed by the performance. However I wanted the KC901V because it covers the major consumer product WiFi (esp 5.8GHz) and mobile phone bands up to 7GHz.

    They are different in hardware and display design with improvements in the KC901V design to a software defined second IF and demodulation allowing a selection of different IF frequencies of 30, 10, 3
